If a company’s entire vehicle fleet is equipped with identical decals, this symbolises uniformity, affiliation and team spirit. Specially covered vehicles can even come to act as a company’s emblem and distinguishing mark. Here, it is particularly important to highlight the fact that vehicles adorned with decals particularly stand out from the crowd. At the same time, they can often be found just where potential customers are to be found.

There are some things to be observed with vehicle decals. For example, it makes less sense to attach decals in places that get dirty very quickly. In addition, there are points on the vehicle where decals must not be applied (covering a large area) – such as the windscreen and rear window. Their breakage behaviour in an emergency would be negatively impacted by an excessively large decal. For these reasons, we have developed our vehicle decal configurator in such a way that these critical points cannot be covered with decals or configured to begin with – for greater safety as well as durability of the products.

In addition to the places on the vehicle where a decal is not sensible, there are also points that are ideally suited for them. These are, for example, the bonnet, side elements and doors as well as the tailgate. In general, it must be ensured that the design does not appear overloaded. It thus makes little sense to cover the entire vehicle with bright colours, lots of slogans and logos – after all, the vehicle is also often in motion and passers-by have only a moment to understand and take in the message of the vehicle decal. Here as well, the maxim holds true: less is more. At least across the vehicle, a clear structure should be recognisable that also has a neat appearance. Key points such as the telephone number or web address should be easy to read even from far away. In order to achieve a branding effect, it is very sensible to attach the company’s logo to the vehicle. In our configurator, you have the option of uploading it and adjusting its size and position. If you wish to attach your logo on the bonnet, it is often advisable to position it as centrally as possible. For this reason, our configurator also boasts the function of horizontal and vertical centring. You can thus be sure that your car’s decal is really applied in the centre.

On a 3D model, you can track all changes live and compare them. The basis for the decal configurator is formed by your vehicle, which you must select first. Finally, there are often considerable discrepancies in construction between transporters from different manufacturers, e.g. in terms of the B-pillar or windows.

The great advantage of vehicle decals compared to other forms of exterior advertising is you incur only one-off costs. Poster advertising, like other forms, needs to be rented, whereas vehicle advertising is a one-off purchase. In principle, vehicle advertising fulfils the same purpose as advertising on posters: however, your vehicle is noticeable both on the go and when parked and thus reaches a greater number of potential customers – and that with no running costs. At the same time, the advertising is very long-lasting due to its adhesion to the vehicle.
